АРМАВИР

Армавир - второй по величине промышленный город Краснодарского края: в нём насчитывается более 60-предприятий. Он вырос из армянского аула, возникшего в 1829 г. в месте впадения реки Уруп в Кубань. Быстрому росту этого центра торговли способствовали два события: в 1875 г. через него прошла железная дорога, а в 1914 г. от него пустили транскавказскую железнодорожную ветку.
